Steel full-bore welded flanged ball valves 11s38p PN 40 are full-bore shut-off devices designed to control the flow of water, natural gas, and other working media. They are widely used in utilities, construction, and various industries due to their reliability, durability, and ease of operation.
Unlike 11s32p valves, this model has a full bore in all available diameters. The 11s32p model has a standard bore (reduced bore design).
The valve marking is decoded as follows:
- 11 – valve type (ball valve);
- s – body material (carbon steel);
- 38 – model number;
- p – sealing material (plastic).
Valves 11s38p DN 15 - DN 50 are designed for operation at a maximum pressure of 40 kgf/cm2 (PN 40) and can be used at temperatures up to 180 °C. This makes them a universal solution for water supply, gas supply, and steam supply systems. Valves 11s38p DN 65 - DN 200 are designed for operation at a maximum pressure of 25 kgf/cm2 (PN 25).
The 11s38p ball valve consists of the following main components:
- Body: Made of steel and serves as the base for all other elements.
- Ball: Made of stainless steel, it has a bore that allows the working medium to pass through. A 90-degree rotation of the ball opens or closes the flow.
- Stem: Connects the handle to the ball and transfers force from the handle to the ball.
- Sealing elements: Used to prevent leaks of the working medium.
The valve operates as follows:
- To open the valve, the handle is turned counterclockwise until it stops. This causes the ball to rotate so that its bore aligns with the body's passage, allowing the working medium to flow freely.
- To close the valve, the handle is turned clockwise. In this case, the ball rotates so that its surface completely blocks the passage, stopping the flow.
Ball valve 11s38p ensures reliable shut-off and high tightness due to its design and high-quality materials.
