Globe valve 15kch883r MGVS (Membrane Gas Valve System) belongs to the category of shut-off valves and is designed for automatic and remote control of gaseous working media flows in pipeline systems. This valve is widely used in systems where control of natural gas, neutral gases, or air flows is required.

The valve is a diaphragm type with an electromagnetic actuator. It is normally closed (NC), meaning that the valve remains closed in the absence of power.

The valve consists of the following main components:

• Body: Working medium flows through it when the valve is open.
• Shut-off device: Ensures tight sealing of the valve's passage.
• Electromagnetic actuator: Controls the process of opening and closing the valve.

Operating principle

1. In the initial position, the solenoid is disconnected from the power supply, and the main passage of the valve is closed due to the pressure of the working medium on the spool.
2. When voltage is applied to the solenoid, the armature and the relief spool move, reducing the pressure in the upper diaphragm chamber.
3. The pressure difference between the upper and lower diaphragm chambers causes the main spool to lift, opening the passage for the working medium.
4. When the solenoid is de-energized, spools return to their initial position under the action of the spring and the pressure of the working medium, tightly closing the passage.

Operating conditions

The valve must be installed on a horizontal pipeline with the solenoid facing upward; allowable deviation from the vertical is no more than 15°.
